Henning Elmstroem, The Danish Association of Surveyors, DdL, celebrated his 70th birthday with a reception. More than 100 found their way to the reception to celebrate Henning including representatives from 14 countries. Henning is a well known face on the International arena, and he has for many years taken active part in FIG. The day was filled with speeches - especially from the international participants. First speaker was FIG President Chryssy Potsiou who thanked Henning for all the years he has taken active part in FIG, and presented a FIG Certificate of Appreciation to thank him for his continuous work and contributions to FIG. |
Henning is well known among many FIG members and also his ability to network, connect and make others feel welcome and comfortable is highly appreciated. Henning is also a welcom guest in the FIG office whenever he visits Copenhagen.
FIG Council used the opportunity to have a council meeting in Copenhagen during the weekend 28-29 November.
The Task Force on Commission structure also held a meeting in Copenhagen in this connection on 26-27 November where they discussed the current commission structure and future possibilities.
