Invitation to COBGI2024 event in Croatia

FIG Commission 3 on Spatial Information Management  is delighted to announce its participation in the upcoming COBGI24 workshop on Challenges and Opportunities in BIM and GIS Integration. The workshop will be held in Varaždin, Croatia, from June 18th to 21st.

The event is organized by the University North and the Croatian Geodetic Society, in collaboration with FIG Commission 3 and the Erasmus+ program BIRGIT (https://birgitproject.eu/).

Call for papers

The COBGI 2024 workshop explores the use, analysis, and integration of 2D/3D digital modelling for the effective and scalable management of built environments. More specifically, the workshop will focus on the challenges and opportunities when integrating Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for the above.

COBGI24 will serve as a forum to present the latest challenges and opportunities in BIM-GIS integration for various applications and services. The workshop will provide an excellent opportunity to demonstrate recent research, developments, technologies, and policies, and to identify emerging tools, trends, and services.
Suggested topics - not limited to - for submissions are:

BIM-GIS integration for construction, urban planning, and facility management and informed decision-making
Authors are invited to submit their extended abstract (in English) for oral presentation. The extended abstracts will be peer-reviewed by experts in the field according to their scientific value, impact, and originality of work. Authors of original and innovative extended abstracts will be invited to submit their work as a full paper to be published in a special issue of Technical Journal, free of charge, after the conference.
